Dressing for Spring with a touch of Whimsy

Spring is the perfect time to add a touch of whimsy to your wardrobe. It’s also a wonderful time to include a few bright pops of color as well.

A touch of whimsy can be anything out of the ordinary. You can wear your favorite critters or style yourself with a print of your favorite snack. Anything is possible! I’m excited to share a few items that will put a “spring” in your step.

I’ve always been a flamingo fan.

I adore their long legs and beautiful pink feathers. Spring is an excellent time to incorporate them into your daily style.

This dress from Kate Spade would be a brilliant choice for a garden party.

Flamingos seem to pop up everywhere this time of year. Francesca’s offered this adorable purse that can be used as a clutch or a cross body bag.

You can even accessorize your favorite bikini at the beach with this Martha Stewart flamingo beach towel. It’s an ideal match for the flamingo beach chair clips I bought years ago in Hawaii.

Spring is my favorite time to explore new places and have an adventure. I have a feeling that this LeSportSac Macaroon back pack will be getting a major work out this spring and summer. These brightly colored macaroons match everything in my closet.

Every Pineapple Princess needs to have a sparkly tasseled pineapple dangling from her neck.

The Limited and Lilly Pulitzer offered some adorable options. I decided on the pineapple from The Limited.

Another great way to refresh your look for spring is with a pop of color or some fun metallic.

These belts from Target (gold) and Kate Spade (pink) (check your T. J. Maxx) will add a punch of pizazz to just about anything.

I’m also thrilled that Birkenstocks are making a comeback. I know that they can be pretty polarizing. People either love them or hate them. But who can resist a pair of comfortable sandals that look like Barbie doll shoes.

Adding a touch of whimsy to your spring wardrobe isn’t just reserved for the ladies.

My Cute Cajun Hubby loves this crawfish bow tie from Collared Greens.

It even has the most daring name “Low Country Boil”

So grab your lemons, pineapples, flamingos, and pops of color and have a spectacular spring!

Aloha & Xoxo,

Kate
